staycation!
Dec 10, 2014
My very first blog! So, in case you haven’t read my life story, I like to take pictures… a lot. I can’t remember a time in my life where there hasn’t been a camera nearby. My nieces and nephews mostly know me as the guy Auntie Mary always brings along to take photos. Until now, I’ve mostly kept to Google+ sharing photos privately with family but, inspired by Mary’s foray into the blogging world (www.nufo.ie), I thought it was time I put together a site of my own!
This first set of photos were taken back at the end of September when Mary and I took a mini-staycation. After spending a few days chilling out in Cork and calling up to the Byrne & Cornally households (including a snoop around Peadar’s garage… sorry Peadar) we set our sights on the National Ploughing Championships. I’d never been before! The place is beyond huge and we had a ball just wandering around, getting swept up by the crowds. All that walking though left us in need of some serious R&R. You can travel the ends of the world but there I times I wonder if there is anywhere more stunning the coasts of Ireland. We landed down in Inchydoney for 2 nights of beautiful scenery, great food and something called a ‘muscle melt massage’.
