Philana & Paul
Cork County Cricket Club
Aug 16, 2016
I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while. I look forward to all my weddings of course but this ticked a few extra boxes… the biggest of which was that Iyer’s of Cork were catering! This probably means nothing to most but if you’re ever in Cork and are looking for some authentic Indian cooking GO HERE and pray you get a seat. That was just one part of Philana and Paul’s wedding that was chock full of personal touches that made it just a dream to shoot… a walk through Cork City, ice-cream on tap, crazy golf, a great outdoor venue in the Cricket Club and a dog called Pepsi!
It’s worth mentioning Pepsi a bit here. I met Philana and Paul twice before their big day. The first time to just have a coffee and chat about the plan for the day and the second time at their home to meet Pepsi, their adoreable rescue dog, so that she could get used to me. Normally, the order of importance on a wedding day goes Bride (naturally) and then Groom. It was clear though that poor Paul was going to take a backseat to Pepsi who is always found a few paces behind Philana whereever she goes.
Philana and Paul, thanks so much for having me as your wedding photographer! It was a fantastic day and honestly I could have put up two blogs to cover it all. I wish you all the best and I’m sure I’ll bump into ye again sometime around Cork :)
