In my short little wedding photography career to date I’ve gotten to shoot some amazing couples at some amazing places and Lucy and Neil’s day keep that trend going. The church on the hill, the ruins for the bridal shoot, the wind (more on that in a moment) and The Heritage itself with that monster of a staircase! BTW, how we managed to coordinate everyone for that group photo on it is beyond me. I need to learn how to do one of those proper loud whistles to grab attention for such situations in future :)
On a personal note, I’ve been quietly waiting for the magical combination that is wind + long veil and on a sunny day in August I got it! I may have lost the run of myself at one point as the veil flew through the window of the old church ruins, yelling “don’t move don’t move” as I legged it around the corner but it was worth it.
Lucy and Neil, thank you so much for having me as part of your day. From the mountain of kit-kats, chocolates, biscuits and tea that greeting me in the morning to the hug goodbye as the dancing kicked into high gear at night, ye were so welcoming and a super relaxed couple to shoot.
