Ok, I’m gonna talk about Lisa and Wayne in a moment, but first a personal note. A little over two years ago I was on the other side of the camera, with our photographer making the drive from Kilkenny down to our little home in Cork. It wasn’t lost on me as I took off from that same little home in Cork for Kilkenny that I was coming full circle in a way. Never before have I been more excited about getting up at 8am on a Sunday… except when Christmas has landed on a Sunday of course.

Right, enough of that guff. The reason behind all the excitment was that I was getting to shoot Lisa and Wayne’s wedding day! I’d only spoken to them on the phone so really I was mostly hoping they’d be comfortable having me around them. Comfortable is an understatement. I had to actively remind myself I wasn’t there just to chat and hang out with these two. It’s really a great thing to see two people so chilled out and happy and just plain enjoying letting the day happen.

The day itself was a blur (thank God someone took photos :p), kicking off with Wayne receiving his impressive gift (despite the team) from Lisa, ending with a race against the setting sun and never letting up as I floated between Wayne, Lisa, family and friends in Langton’s hotel (seriously, that place is a maze!).
