Kellie Ann & Daniel

Last month I shot my first ever wedding! I’ve been taking photos for any and all events in my wife’s family for years now but this would be the first “real job”. Was I up for it? Of course! Was I feeling the pressure of capturing one of the most special days in a couple’s life together? … if I was, that faded away as soon as I met up with Kellie Ann and Daniel. To any aspiring photographer out there, I recommend you convince these guys to get married again and shoot the wedding. They are the definition of cool and relaxed. They were a dream to shoot and I had a blast spending the day with them.
First stop was the bride’s house and as I psyched myself up to “Total Eclipse of the Heart” on 2FM, the sun went dark as the moon passed overhead (well played 2FM). If it wasn’t obvious already, today was going to be something special. The Moran house was a hub of activity. Kellie Ann’s sister, Laurie, was home from Oz for the celebrations and there was a buzz of excitement as cousins, aunties, neighbours and friends popped in for tea and chats :)
It was the same story at the Benson’s who were all smiles, enjoying the early morning sunshine with some bubbles. After only half an hour with them, you can see how close they all are and how happy they are for Daniel and Kellie Ann. That was the story of the day from then on, two supremely happy people surrounded by a sea of smiles…. and I got to capture it.
